HOW DOES A RZEPPA CV JOINT WORK?

The Rzeppa-style constant-velocity (CV) joint allows smooth torque transfer while the driveshaft operates at an angle—essential for many front-wheel-drive and independent-suspension systems.

🔧 Key Components:
• Outer & Inner Races — Guide the ball tracks and transmit torque
• Steel Balls — Carry the driving force between the races
• Cage — Keeps the balls correctly positioned
• Grease & Rubber Boot — Lubricate and protect the joint from dirt and moisture

⚙️ How it works:
The ball-and-groove geometry keeps the torque-transmitting balls in the correct plane, allowing the input and output shafts to rotate at essentially the same angular speed even when the joint is operating at an angle.

Simple idea:
➡️ Engine/Transmission → Differential → CV Joint → Axle Shaft → Wheel

A small joint doing a big job in modern drivetrains.
