Ever wondered how modern cars make steering feel so smooth and effortless?
Electric Power Steering (EPS) uses electronics instead of a traditional hydraulic pump to provide steering assistance.
🔹 Steering Torque Sensor – Detects how much force the driver applies to the steering wheel.
🔹 ECU – Processes the sensor signals and calculates how much assistance is needed.
🔹 Electric Motor – Provides the required steering assist.
🔹 Steering Gear/Rack – Converts steering input into movement of the front wheels.
🔹 Vehicle Speed Signal – Helps adjust steering assistance based on driving conditions.
⚙️ Basic flow:
Driver Input → Torque Sensor → EPS ECU → Electric Motor → Steering Rack → Wheel Movement
